Survey for diaspora social workers working in the UK

Did you qualify as a social worker overseas and now work in the UK?

Since it was established, the Diaspora Social Work Special Interest Group (SIG) has been leading on work to improve the support and induction for social workers who qualified overseas. As part of that work, the SIG is running a questionnaire for social workers who qualified overseas but now work in the UK to update and expand on the findings of a similar questionnaire conducted by BASW’s International Committee in 2021.

The questionnaire has been updated by BASW members who are themselves from ‘diaspora groups’ and is intended to inform the ongoing conversation about what works well and what doesn’t in terms of support and induction. To do that, the SIG needs your views.

BASW has a legitimate interest in wishing to use and store any information submitted to inform its ongoing work in this area. Completing the survey is entirely voluntary. Any information submitted will be stored confidentially and used for statistical and qualitative analysis only. Following the conclusion of this piece of work, the data will be deleted.
