North Yorkshire network meeting with BASW UK Chair Julia Ross

You are invited to join the BASW England North Yorkshire Network meeting which is an Opportunity to meet and hear from the BASW UK Chair Julia Ross.

Julia Ross is an experienced social work practitioner and manager, including as Director of Social Services in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

A BASW member for 50 years, she was elected as Chairperson this year.

Julia is an author of two books, a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and is passionate about Digital Transformation as well as improving services for people experiencing social work and social workers themselves.

Julia is keen to engage with BASW England members and the meeting will cover the following:

  • Her background and career history as a social worker.
  • The objectives she has set as BASW UK Chair including the challenges for the profession and BASW
  • The role of BASW England branches

There will be an opportunity for questions throughout.

  • 6:00pm - 6:10pm – Welcome and introductions
  • 6:10pm – 6.55pm – Julia Ross including Q&A
  • 6.55-7pm - Network updates

The meeting will finish at 7pm.
