Gary’s health and care career dates back to 2002 in Adult Services. He is regularly instructed in matters relating to mental capacity, the Court of Protection, mental health, NHS Continuing Healthcare and safeguarding adults. In 2012, Gary was appointed by the Lord Chancellor to sit on Mental Health Review Tribunal as a Specialist Member in Wales. In 2015, he set up 'Lawology' offering a range of specialist social care services. In 2017, he was nominated and won a national social work award for his contribution towards community-based social work. In 2019, he was shortlisted for the Lawyer Monthly Expert Witness Award for the category of Social Care - UK.
