Jo qualified as a Social Worker in 2005 and subsequently as a Mental Health Officer and Practice Educator. Her practice has primarily been in mental health settings, working in specialist clinical positions with both the Local Authority and NHS. She has vast experience carrying out mental health assessments and court reports under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 and Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 as well as assessments and reports in relation to Adults with Incapacity legislation. Jo has developed and delivered training to Local Authority, NHS and Third Sector organisations as well as speaking at events and conferences across Scotland.
