Phil has been a qualified social worker since 2016 and has experience in statutory child protection and youth justice roles, as well as voluntary sector social work roles in the UK and internationally. Phil specialises in social work with victims of trafficking, safeguarding unaccompanied migrant children and transnational safeguarding. He is currently the International Safeguarding and Protection Manager for a charity which conducts family reunification work for unaccompanied children trying to reach family members in European countries. Phil has trained thousands of social workers, foster carers and others in child safeguarding and child trafficking.
