I have worked in Children and Families for the past ten years, specialising mostly in children in care, special guardianships and adoption. My passion is in trauma-informed social work, helping adults to understand and respond to children who have experienced significant loss. I have been a deputy team manager in an adoption agency, led a project team in Early Help and lectured on a Social Work Masters course. I am currently providing special guardian assessments for court proceedings. I would also be interested in Independent Review Officer work to maintain my interest in working directly with young people. I would also be interested in off-site Practice Education support.
