SASW Scotland after UNCRC incorporation – The role and importance of social work as a human rights profession

Thursday 24th March 2022 - 10.00am - 12.00pm

This event is part of a series of activity across the UK to mark World Social Work Month 2022.

We'll be joined by the Children and Young People's Commissioner and Aberlour Children's Charity to explore the impact and role of the social work profession once Scotland incorporates the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The session will also consider the role that children have as human rights defenders and protectors of climate justice.

This session will include a Q&A with our speakers and the chance to discuss the themes with each other in breakout workshops.

The event will take place virtually on MS Teams.
