Event Terms & Conditions
For events with a booking fee, the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) member discount rates are available to current BASW members only. Non-members who book fee paying places at the member rate may have their booking cancelled and an administration charge may apply. To secure your booking on a fee paying event, we recommend paying in full at the time of booking. Delegate places are not confirmed until any due payment has been received in full.
Alterations, cancellations & refunds
If you decide to cancel a booking, cancellations must be made in writing at least 28 days prior to the date of event. After this no fees are refundable for cancellation or non-attendance.
Sending a colleague in your place may be possible and, in these circumstances, please contact the event coordinator at the earliest opportunity.
BASW reserves the right to cancel and/ or postpone events. In these circumstances, we aim to provide as much notice as possible. For cancelled events or should delegates not be available to attend new confirmed date(s), a full refund would be offered. Travel, accommodation and other expenses incurred by delegates would not be reimbursed.
BASW events and professional development may be subject to changes in venues, presenters and the programme. You will be informed of any relevant changes to the advertised programme by email. Do ensure we have your most up-to-date contact details and/or contact details of all delegates if booking on behalf of colleagues.
Where changes in venue, presenters and/or the programme have occurred within 28 days of the event, delegate places are non-refundable.
Data Protection
The information you provide will be held on a database to process your booking for the event and professional development record. We may also use the information to keep you up to date with relevant conferences or events organised by BASW unless you tell us otherwise. We will never knowingly pass your details on to any other companies for marketing purposes.
