We are delighted to invite workshop and session ideas for the BASW 2022 Annual conference, festival and AGM.
Our aspiration is to involve a fantastic range of individuals and organisations to create a truly engaging and memorable experience. The overall theme of the conference is A Social Work for the Future. The conference will be exploring five topic threads that tie the whole conference theme together.
As the conference is hybrid - both face to face and online - we will be asking successful submissions to provide a film or recording of your presentation for us to share online.
We would like to hear how your session will fit within one of these six topics:
- Good practice: ethics, values, evidence
- International context
- Research
- Social work in political context
- Recovery and rebuilding – social work for the future and how we support social workers
- Movements for change – anti racism and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion
How to get involved
A session can be in the form of a:
- Workshop
- Talk and discussion
- Film or other audio-visual presentation
- Music, reading and poetry
- Other approach
Sessions should be planned to run for 45 minutes or a double session of 1 hour 45 minutes.
We would really like to hear a little more about your proposal. Please complete the our short form and return to comms@basw.co.uk by 11th April 2022 *extended deadline* and please do get in touch if you have any queries.
