The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) - BASW England is recruiting to the role of Policy and Campaigns Officer. The successful candidate will:
- Promote and develop the work of the BASW England through effective engagement, influence, campaign lobbying and impact.
- Engage effectively with policy makers in government, lobby for change and campaign actively on issues that directly impact on the social work profession, our members and people with lived experience.
- Ensure BASW England continues to have a strong voice for social work, human rights, social justice and will effectively influence, educate, advocate, challenge and campaign in the best interests of the profession and those who need and use our services.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed individual with relevant experience and a successful track record of driving policy change by leading campaigns, lobbying and engaging with all stakeholders including social workers, people with lived experience, politicians, campaign groups, policy representatives and coalition organisations.
As well as being able to demonstrate impact on policy change and experience of using policy, research, public campaigning, media and digital work to influence a broader change the successful candidate will provide excellent written content for internal use and external publications.
