The service was launched in July 2020, and was developed in direct response to the COVID 19 Pandemic, by social workers for social workers. The SWPSS service has been developed in partnership with BASW and Strengthening Practice and has grown from strength to strength across the UK and more recently welcomed an extension of the Service to all social workers in Scotland and Wales, thanks to funding by the Scottish and Welsh Governments.
This is proving to be a valuable and positive resource created by the skill, dedication and kindness of the social work profession in caring for those that care. We encourage you to explore, use and interact with these resources to support you and the wider social work community keep well and strong.
