Supporting looked after children closer to home: a comparison
This research finds a variety of strategies and tactics in place to address the significant challenge of ensuring that looked after children are supported in their ‘home’ area. Whilst there are no silver bullets, Cordis Bright found that authorities are trialling a range of options, some of which have potential to make quite significant differences in the longer term. We hope this short report summarising what we did, and what we found will be valuable for a range of audiences. We have found this a tremendously interesting and valuable experience and we would welcome the chance to talk to other local authorities who would be interested to share their experiences and find out more.
