Learning into practice: improving the quality and use of Serious Case Reviews

Project Report

The Learning into Practice Project was undertaken by a partnership comprising the NSPCC and Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE), and was funded by the Department for Education’s Innovation Programme from March 2015 to March 2016.

The aim of the project was to develop and test mechanisms for improving the quality of Serious Case Reviews, and their use in influencing improvements to local and national practice.

This report is an internal evaluation of the project, aiming to describe the mechanisms developed and tested in the project, what we learned about each mechanism, and the views of key stakeholders.
