Helpline highlight 2012/13: Protecting children in Northern Ireland

In 2012/13 almost 51,000 people across the UK reported concerns about children, a 15 per cent increase on the previous year. In this report we focus on the contacts we received in Northern Ireland. We identify the number of adults in Northern Ireland who contacted the helpline, the reasons why they got in touch, how long they waited before getting in touch, and the number of cases the helpline had to refer to social services or police in Northern Ireland.
