Learning the lessons from complex cases in adult safeguarding

This NIASP/ NIASW Shared Learning event “Learning the lessons from complex cases in adult safeguarding” was held on 26th November 2013. It was planned in response to an identified need to share the learning from complex cases across the region.

NIASP are in the process of considering the introduction of serious case reviews in Northern Ireland and this event was enhanced by the experience of key note speaker Margaret Flynn who has extensive experience of conducting serious case reviews across a range of situations and circumstances.

Local experience and lessons were shared through the input of Trust Adult Safeguarding Specialists in the areas of unexplained deaths, supported living for people with learning disabilities and financial abuse.

The presentations from the event are available to view or download here.
