Each year, SASW hosts the Mental Health Officer Conference for MHOs practicing across Scotland. The conference features a mixture of keynote presentations, interactive workshops, networking opportunities and the winning announcement of the MHO Practice Award.

Our most recent conference took place on our virtual platform, Hopin, on Wednesday 23rd February 2022.

MHO Practice Award

Each year, we invite nominations for the MHO Practice Award. The accolaide recognises the exceptional work and achievements of an individual, team, initiative or project in mental health practice. You don't have to attend the conference to submit a nomination or be nominated.

Our most recent winner of the MHO Practice Award was Meredith Ahearn. Meredith was presented with the award by the Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care, Kevin Stewart MSP, at this year's conference. Read more here!

Do you know an outstanding individual or team who should be recognised next year? Then get in touch with us on scotland@basw.co.uk to nominate them!

We want to hear from you!

The conference is a unique opportunity to bring together MHOs from across Scotland. It's your event, so we want you to shape it. Your feedback is really important for informing how the conference runs, including format, content, events and much more. You can find our feedback form here.
