Social Work Policy Panel

The next meeting of the Social Work Policy Panel takes place on Tuesday 7 June, 13.00-14.30.

The panel is a space for front-line social workers to share their views and experiences with policy-makers to help improve specific areas of social work practice. With the National Care Service Bill about to be introduced, there's never been a better time to be involved!

The theme of the next meeting will be “Professional social work now and in the future.” As well as the opportunity to feedback your views, there will also be a chance to hear from the Scottish Government about their ambitions for social work in the National Care Service.

Previous panel meetings have considered specific areas of social work practice. You can read our summaries below.

All front-line social workers and social work students are invited to attend the meetings and contribute. If you cannot make the meetings, you can also sign up for our newsletters keeping you informed and provide written feedback on the topics discussed that will be shared with the Scottish Government.
