Scottish Drug Deaths Taskforce Recommendations: Share your views

The Scottish Parliament’s Criminal Justice Committee, Health, Social Care and Sport Committee and the Social Justice and Social Security Committee are consulting on progress made to implement the recommendations of the Scottish Drug Deaths Taskforce.

The Taskforce has made a number of recommendations since 2019 to prevent drug deaths and tackle problem drug use in Scotland. You can read them all here.

MSPs are now seeking people's views and experiences to help them to evaluate the effectiveness of the recommendations so far and consider where improvements need to be made.

Please complete our survey by 5pm on Tuesday 10 May to help shape SASW's consultation response. You can complete our survey here.

Please note that you do not have to respond to all of the questions – but your views on as many elements as possible would be gratefully received. There is also space at the end of the survey for you to provide general feedback.

Whilst SASW will respond to the consultation as your professional association, you can also respond directly if you wish. Responses should be sent in word format, no more than four pages, by 12 noon on Friday 13 May to:

In the meantime, if you have any questions or queries, please contact our Policy Officer on
