We met with Joanna MacDonald, newly appointed Deputy Chief Social Work Adviser at Scottish Government and Iona Colvin, Chief Social Work Adviser. Key points in the discussion included the upcoming Government programme around the National Care Service and the role of social work.
Discussions have begun to take place around setting up our Cross-Party Group on Social Work at the Scottish Parliament.
Sarah attended the Scottish Women's Aid webinar with Dr Anni Donaldson on Police, Criminal Justice and Social Work Responses to Domestic Abuse in Post-War Scotland.
We held the Children and Families Community of Practice, where the complexities of sibling relationships were explored.
Planning began for our Justice Community of Practice on 2nd June. The theme of this session will be trauma informed practice.
