BASW encourages members to respond to Human Rights review consultation

The Review will consider how the Human Rights Act is working in practice and whether any change is needed

BASW is encouraging members to submit their views to the Independent Review of the Human Rights Act, which closes on 3 March.

The Review will consider how the Human Rights Act is working in practice and whether any change is needed.

The British Institute of Human Rights has put together a portfolio of guidance on how individuals can respond to the Human Rights Act review and is encouraging people to share their experiences of using the Human Rights Act in their life or work with the review. You can find the BIHR resources here.

To respond to the review, visit the Government website

If you’d like to contribute to BASWs submission instead of submitting your own, you can email our Public and Political Affairs Lead Kerri Prince at kerri.prince@basw.co.uk with no more than 500 words on how you use the Human Rights Review in your work by 12pm on Wednesday 24 February 2021.
