BASW to march in anti-racism demonstration

Members and non-members urged to join in on 16 March

On Saturday 16 March, cities across the world from Warsaw to Washington DC will march together against racism – and BASW and Social Workers Union (SWU) will be involved too.

On what will be the United Nations Anti-Racism Day, Stand Up To Racism and LoveMusicHateRacism have combined to organise anti-racism demonstration’s in London, Glasgow and Cardiff.

The BASW London branch are standing with Social Work Action Network (SWAN) and SWU to march in London, while BASW Cymru and SASW will be involved in and promoting the Cardiff and Glasgow events.

In London, social workers will be gathering at the Joy of Life Fountain in Hyde Park from 11.45am onwards and BASW members are being urged to join the demonstration.
