BASW congratulates award winning social workers

The Social Worker of the Year Awards saw six BASW members win

BASW would like to congratulate all the social workers who were recognised last week at the Social Worker of the Year Awards for the incredible work they do.

Around 100 individuals and teams were nominated across 18 awards, with a Gold and Silver winner picked for each award.

BASW England would especially like to congratulate its members that received awards. These were:

Making a difference award

Silver award: Denise Smalley, PAC-UK

 

Team leader of the year, adult services 

Gold award: Jack Skinner, Bradford Council

Silver award: Annika Leland-Bolton, Doncaster Council

 

Newly qualified adult social worker of the year 

Gold award: Ella Waughman, Cambridge County Council

 

Championing social work values

Silver award: Miranda Lynn Johnson, Birmingham City Council

 

Outstanding contribution to social work

Lyn Romeo, Department of Health and Social Care
