BASW Cymru march against austerity

Robin Moulster (BASW Cymru Country Manager), Cath Taffurelli (BASW Cymru Chairperson) and social work students supported the People’s Assembly Austerity March in Swansea on 14 June. Despite the rain, there was an excellent turnout, which was approximately 500 - not the 200 quoted by BBC. Rousing speeches were given by organisers, politicians and trade union members from across the public sector - both at the beginning and end of the march. Despite the nature of the march, it was a positive an uplifting event that was certainly not dampened by the weather.
