A fulltime, permanent opportunity has arisen in the Association for an enthusiastic and dynamic officer, based in London or Birmingham (able and willing to attend Birmingham HQ to attend meetings as required), to join the BASW UK Policy and Research team. To develop and influence policy and the use of knowledge and evidence within the association and externally, taking thematic leads as required.
BASW needs to keep developing to ensure we are strong and effective for the future of social work. The Finance & Organisational Development Committee keeps our finances on track and also considers and recommends developments in terms of staffing, organisational structure, governance and new initiatives. As a member of the Committee you will be at the heart of ensuring BASW continues on its successful journey of development. The Committee reports to BASW Council with its recommendations.

The Subgroup provides an expert focus for social workers who have an interest in criminal/youth justice. There are various opportunities for continuous professional development for members and to expand the knowledge base in this domain.
