Following more successful developments for BASW Cymru, there are vacancies for three new committee members
Further to the recruitment of new committee members in June for the 2021 - 2023 period of office, we are now seeking new committee members for the 2022 - 2024 period of office. Posts include chair, vice chair and student rep, plus 3 new member vacancies. Deadline for applications is Friday 8th October.

PEHR’s main role is to advise BASW Council when developing policies and position statements to ensure that they promote respect for human rights and are consistent with BASW’s Code of Ethics. Are you a BASW Cymru member who would like to play a more active role in Professional Social Work magazine? We’re seeking a member in Wales to fill a vacancy on the PSW editorial board. You don’t need to have knowledge of publishing – the role of the board is to advise and support the editor on the content and direction of the magazine and monitor its quality.
Are you a BASW member with experience of workforce development and are keen to extend your skills and CV through mentoring? BASW England are now looking to recruit five new mentor volunteers for the service.
We are looking for BASW members across England who are willing to commit time towards the development of regional approaches via local networks and branches. The role is not renumerated, however any work you do can contribute towards your CPD and career progression. We welcome applications from black and ethnic minority practitioners and other under-represented groups including students, care leavers, people with disabilities and practitioners from the LGBT+ community.
The Social Workers Union (SWU) is now seeking nominations from members to fill a vacancy on its Executive Committee. In the case of the National Representative from Northern Ireland, nomination must be by a member within the relevant nation. Application deadline is 5pm on Friday 30th July 2021.
