Profile: I have 31 years post qualifying experience of working with adults, children and families. Since 2003, I have worked independently and prepared reports for Local Authorities, solicitors and courts. My area of interest is the assessment of parents or individuals who are deaf or have a learning disability. I am a fluent British sign language user and am able to assess deaf people without the need for a BSL interpreter. I have vast experience of undertaking assessments of parents who have a learning disability using the Sue McGaw PAMS assessment tool. I was an Associate Lecturer (MA social work programme) between 2006 to 2013.
