I have worked as an independent since 1998, specialising in work with disabled children, young people, adults and their families. I have consulted disabled children to find out their views about their lives. I have undertaken research for the Council for Disabled Children on services for disabled children from black and other minority ethnic communities, and this was published as a practice guide called Diversity Matters. I have been commissioned by solicitors to undertake independent assessments. I have investigated complaints, chaired reviews, and I am currently working with several Children's homes as their Reg 44 visitor.
