Profile: I have worked with families experiencing violence and abuse for 8 years. I was a practitioner working with men 1-1 using abusive behaviour and young people; and the manager supporting practitioners working with families experiencing child to parent violence
I was employed as the VAWG manager chairing daily safeguarding meetings a multi-agency risk assessment conference (MARAC). I have contributed to, delivered and managed innovative interventions with families who have experienced violence and abuse. A recent intervention I have developed is ‘Journey to change’ a person centred, multi-agency co-ordinated response to reducing violent and abusive behaviours of perpetrators.
