Profile: I have specialised in Fostering and Adoption since 1997 whilst continuing to gain experience from working in multi disciplinary teams.
I gained the Mindfulness Association's Teaching qualification in Jan 2019 and led a project to introduce Mindfulness formally supporting foster carers and social Workers across Scotland. The one constant feature of my social care role that has been beautifully enhanced by my mindfulness practice has been my ability to listen and observe without judgement. I have advanced assessment skills. I have developed and delivered many trauma informed courses as a Training Manager face to face and via VLE.
