Social workers are included in the Scottish Government definition of key workers in the COVID-19 crisis. It’s important that every social worker feels valued and supported in order to continue to provide such a key front line service to some of the most vulnerable members of our society.  The team at SASW have collated tokens of goodwill and gestures of help and support that are currently on offer from various organisations.

We’re aware that certain support is only being offered to NHS workers, and in these instances, where appropriate, we are contacting the organisation to ask for social worker inclusion. We know you, as social workers, are working in difficult and dangerous conditions to continue supporting and protecting your clients and we are passionate that you should be given as much assistance as possible to continue this work.

The items below are gathered from a number of sources. We intend to continue adding to and reviewing this list – please get in touch with us on if you know of any more we can add / if any of those currently listed are no longer relevant.
