Webinar: Capabilities Statement Implementation Resources - Organisations Self-Assessment
This webinar is for social work employers working with autistic adults and adults with learning disability
As social workers, their employers, educators and people with lived experience start to adjust to a ‘new normal’, we must ensure that all social workers continue to adapt, develop and strengthen their practice in order to be able to uphold human rights and support autistic adults and adults with learning disability to live their lives.
The organisation self-assessment tool has been developed so that organisations can set a benchmark of where they are in relation to the use of the Capabilities Statements and supporting resources in relation to social work with autistic adults, and adults with learning disability.
Organisations can use the tool to identify improvements to service delivery and workforce learning and development. The self-assessment could also be used to provide assurances to partnership boards and elected members, and to enable further challenge to identify areas for improvement.
This webinar will:
- Introduce the organisation self-assessment tool
- Identify how the tool can be used flexibly to provide a range of perspectives about how the capabilities statements are being used
- Show how feedback from people with lived experience using the Critical friend HAIR tool and practice toolkit can be incorporated into organisational learning.
