SASW Student/ NQSW Interview Skills Session
Interview skills session for NQSWs and social workers at the beginning of their career.
The session will have a limited virtual class size to allow for interaction throughout. Aimed at students and NQSWs living in Scotland.
Content covered will include general advice for interview preparation, behavioural-based interview techniques and managing nerves.
The session will be delivered by SASW Professional Officer and registered social worker Karin Heber who has a Masters in Social Pedagogy. Her practice background pre- and post-qualifying spans work with people with mental health issues and/or disabilities, children, young people and their families in statutory, voluntary or residential settings in Germany and Scotland. She is also a Practice Teacher and FGDM coordinator and has experience both attending and hosting interviews within social work.
