SASW Student and NQSW support and mentoring group - Oct
Regular support and mentoring forum for students & newly qualified social workers living and working in Scotland during Covid-19 pandemic. Online every first Thursday of the month from 5-6pm.
SASW recognises that due to Covid-19 developments students have had their learning moved online partly or fully and placements have been postponed or were cut short due to Covid-19. Newly qualified social workers (NQSW) often work from home with limited opportunity to observe and shadow experienced colleagues and consequently less access to support which will come with its own challenges. Those challenges are different from the challenges that experienced social worker face. We therefore want to offer a regular online Student and NQSW support and mentoring forum that is open to all students and NQSWs here in Scotland. It will offer peer support and mentoring elements and will be facilitated by our Professional Officer Karin Heber, an experienced social worker.
Come along regularly or as a one-off.
Via MS Teams, a link will be provided prior to the call
