SASW Conference 2021: Session 5 -‘If only you’d asked’ – person centred social work

 Join us for a facilitated workshop held on MS teams providing opportunity to learn from voices of lived experience in a safe space

Caroline Mcdonald, Social Worker, Team leader in Children’s services at the Glasgow Health & Social Care Partnership and SASW Committee member will be joined by guests who have experienced working with social workers and participating in a social work assessment. Covering a variety of areas and offering a chance to understand how our guests felt during interactions with their social worker, and an opportunity to reflect on how we can enhance these discussions.

Our speakers

Caroline - Since qualifying as a social worker in 2016 Caroline has supported vulnerable children and families in the local authority. This includes child protection and safeguarding children and young people. Caroline is a qualified  practice Educator, she has supported many students and mentored Nqsw. In addition Caroline is passionate and enthusiastic about practice learning, staff development and delivering good social work practice. Caroline has a keen interest in domestic abuse, children’s rights, homelessness and supporting families.
