SASW Community of Practice: Children & Families (Oct 2020)
Supporting children and families with the return to school following lockdown
Join us in growing our own Community of Practice and allowing Children & Families Social Workers to reflect together – in a safe environment – to improve their practice, promote the values of social work and maintain the integrity of the profession.
Chaired by Sarah McMillan, Professional Officer here at SASW.
This session will explore how children and young people and their parents are coping with a return to school after five months off and how social workers can best support families with this. We will explore any themes which have emerged, and share learning and experiences in relation to areas in which support is needed.
The Community of Practice is for children and families’ social workers working in Scotland who are SASW members. Non-members can attend one session before becoming a member of SASW.
The session will be held remotely using MS teams - a joining link will be shared prior to the meeting.
