Mental Health and Care Experienced Children and Young People: A partnership for change’
A workshop for Children & Families Social Workers practicing in Scotland
This workshop will be co-delivered by care experienced young people from West Lothian’s Champion’s Board along with members of the social work team at the University of Edinburgh and colleagues from Who Cares? Scotland
“I finally told them how I was feeling.
They were there, they listened – they didn’t call me ‘mental’ or ‘out of control’.
They learned what it was like
To be me.
That has made all the difference”.
Loss and trauma affect the mental health of many children and young people in the care system.
They need the professionals who work with them to listen, to care, to take action.
Come along to this Festival of Social Science interactive workshop featuring sound, cases studies and an IRISS Evidence Summary, and find out from young people themselves how YOU can make a difference to their mental health.
Stop waiting on the waiting list!
This workshop will be delivered virtually using MS Teams - joining instructions will be shared with attendees prior to the session.
