Greater Manchester Branch Meeting : The impact of the Covid-19 crisis on how people’s needs are being met
Some people whose needs would previously have been met with domiciliary care are not willing to have this service and there are those who are no longer receiving services such as day care. How else is the new normal impacting on meeting eligible needs? Does this mean that the Care Act is not being adhered to? Is it creating an increased tension between social work professional judgement and local authority policy? How can BASW usefully address these issues?
Please join us at the next Greater Manchester Branch event on Thursday May 6th 2021 at 18.30pm for an online discussion with Pete Feldon, Chair of the BASW England adults group; Independent social work trainer and author of ‘Social Worker’s Guide to the Care Act 2014.’ The event will aim to finish at 19.30pm.
This event is free and open to BASW members and non-members. It will take place on Microsoft Teams.
