County Lines & Child Sexual Exploitation

Brief summary:

There are serious and increasing challenges posed by County lines and the criminal and sexual exploitation of children. This training session will enable participants to gain knowledge, understanding and awareness of County lines, Gangs, Child Sexual Exploitation, the impact on vulnerable children and young people and most importantly what action to take to prevent and report.

At the end of this event participants will be able to:

  • Understand the impact of County lines and Child Sexual Exploitation.

  • Gain knowledge of the vulnerabilities of children and young people with regards to exploitation and criminal activities.

  • Know how to recognise sings of exploitation and where to report.

Who should attend?

Anyone who works with children and young people or who wants a better understanding of County lines and Child Sexual Exploitation.

About the trainer:

Karen Livesey is a qualified Teacher, Trainer and Youth Worker with extensive experience of working with children, young people and adults with knowledge and understanding of the significance of CSE, Safeguarding and vulnerability of children and young people. Karen worked as an Advanced Practitioner for Lancashire Young People’s Service for 26 years before working as a Trainer for C.A.T. Karen completed training with Lancashire County Council, “Safe and Sound” CSE specialists, PACE (Parents Against Child Exploitation) and has studied Advanced Child Exploitation, Advanced Certificate in Sexual Health and a PGCE in “Leadership and Management in Social Work and Social Care”.
