To raise awareness of IPV amongst service users and professionals • Introduce an evidence based screening tool; Hurt, Insult, Threaten and Scream (Sherin 2003).
• Offer an integrated care pathway to ensure safety plan be part of person’s care plan.

Presenter Bio:
Aidan Cooney M.Sc (King’s) BSW (UCC) has excellent credentials, with a BA SW, and an MSc in mental health and learning disability from King’s College Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurodevelopment.  He has years of experience in mental health teams in clinical specialist social work roles, including PCT adult mental health and learning disability services and South London and Maudsley PCT CAMHS Neurodevelopment Services.  His experience of Community Mental Health Teams led him to understand the complexities of intimate partner violence and how to engage with individuals for a realistic assessment.
