Elected Directors of BASW Council do not have a fixed committee role or portfolio but play a key part in setting the direction of the Association through being part of Council. They can take on other responsibilities and portfolios of activities relevant to their interests and expertise and may represent the Association externally. Elected Directors are not remunerated but receive expenses. Time commitment includes attendance at up to six Council meetings per year (usually in Birmingham) and approximately six additional days on BASW business.  The term of office for 2 of the vacancies commences from the conclusion of the BASW AGM on 21st June 2019 and is for an initial 2 year term. One candidate will fill a casual vacancy as an elected Director until the conclusion of the 2020 AGM and can be re-nominated for two further 2 year terms.
