In many ways placements are the treasure of social work training. Whilst the specific requirements around placements differ from one programme to another there are some key things that students can do to prepare for placement effectively to ensure that they get the most from the treasure available. Siobhan has been a practice educator for 27 years and in that time has worked with more than 200 students, she will draw on this experience to provide some very practical hints and tips around getting the most from every placement opportunity
