NIASW 2011 Response to the draft Service Framework for Mental Health and Wellbeing

The Department of Health is developing a range of service frameworks which set out explicit standards for health and social care that are evidence based and are capable of being measured. The Service Framework for Mental Health and Wellbeing sets standards in relation to the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of individuals / communities who currently have, or are at greater risk of developing, mental illness. Each standard is supported by levels of performance to be achieved over 3 years.
