2012 Joint World Conference in Stockholm
Social workers from around the world attended the 2012 Joint World Conference, staged in Stockholm, Sweden between 8-12 July. As the international representative for social work in the UK, BASW had a strong presence, with chief executive Hilton Dawson, chair Fran Fuller and Scotland manager Ruth Stark all part of the Association’s contribution.

The theme of the Conference was ‘Action and Impact’, including confirmation of The Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development, which has been developed over the past year and has been presented to the United Nations and various parliaments over recent months.
