Disabled Children’s Acces to Childcare (DCATCH): Process evaluation of particicipation and workforce development activity in the DCATCH pilots
The Disabled Children‟s Access to Childcare (DCATCH) pilot is the specific AHDC initiative dedicated to developing childcare provision for this group of children and their families. The £35 million initiative running from March 2008 to March 2011 is funding ten local authorities to address the lack of adequate provision to meet the childcare needs of disabled children and their families, and reduce barriers to access. The focus of the pilots has been on improving the range and quality of childcare for families of disabled children, and involving families in shaping childcare services.
