The Right to Choose: Statutory guidance for dealing with forced marriage
This guidance is given to all persons, bodies and organisations in Northern Ireland who exercise public functions in relation to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including those who act in pursuance of Article 18(1) or Article 176(1) of the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 or under Article 17(1) of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 or by virtue of general duties and obligations under law. Such bodies/organisations may include, but are not limited to, schools, HSC Trusts, District Councils, the Housing Executive and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
