The death of good practice
As the Social Work Taskforce in England considers the wording of its final conclusions later this month, Joyce Brand laments the influence of the prevailing style of management on children’s services departments across England, which she says leads to shortsighted and ineffective social work practice, and in turn makes child protection mistakes more likely.
