Senior practitioner Philip Appleton, a member of BASW’s Forensic Special Interest Group, follows an analysis of the role of the forensic worker in December’s PSW by exploring the contribution of this social work specialist in a high secure hospital, focusing in particular on the support offered to one man, Tony, who was at one point on the very margins of society.
