On the Pulse: Housing routes to better health outcomes for older people
With the number of people over 65 expected to double from eight to 16 million by 2030, improving the health, care and quality of life of older people is in everyone’s interest.
On the Pulse explores how health and social care commissioners can work with housing providers to enable older people to manage changes in their health, to maximise independence and reduce the need for costly interventions. It follows the National Housing Federation’s report Breaking the Mould: Re-visioning older people’s housing, which demonstrates how housing associations, local authorities, health services and other partners are developing new housing and support models to meet the changing needs of older people.
