April 2011 - BASW England Consultation Response to: DWP Consultation - Strengthening families, promoting parental responsibility: the future of child maintenance
Social workers certainly have experience of working with children where their parents have separated and child maintenance is an issue. We are therefore, keen to share the view of BASW/CoSW members with the DWP and hope that this will contribute to a system that will ultimately be of greater benefit to children from all communities particularly those who are deemed to be more vulnerable and at risk of greater social and economic disadvantage.
