NIASW Family and Childcare Voices in Practice Group

This is an opportunity for social workers in this area of work to get together and discuss current issues, best practice etc. The next meeting of the group is Tuesday 27th July 2010 at 2pm in Douglas House, 397 Ormeau Road, Belfast. This meeting will be an opportunity to meet the new NIASW manager, Carolyn Ewart and to share your views on the future of this group and how it can better meet your needs. The group has 2 seminars planned for the year ahead, the first in November around the current social work pressures and how we can keep ourselves healthy and safe. The second will hopefully be a joint seminar with BASPCAN in December. Details will be published nearer the time - watch this space!

The NIASW Mental Health & Learning Disability Voices in Practice Group meets regularly to discuss current issues surrounding these areas of practice. The group meet at Douglas House, 397 Ormeau Road, Belfast (unless otherwise notified) at 10.30am and have set the following dates for their meetings:-
