Reviewing SASW's branch structure
BASW is undertaking a UK-wide Strategic Review which has prompted us to take a look at our traditional branch structure in Scotland, which was based on the nine regional councils of the 1970s.
Rather than the branch model, we now meet locally, wherever appropriate, to offer seminars and events about specific local issues aimed at supporting frontline social work.
We also run national study days and communicate much more by email and web communications. In the new year we will asking you to complete an online survey aimed at helping us think through how best to bring members together. Please think about how you want us to support you in preparation for this survey.
